Stefan (they/them/theirs) is an 18-year old student currently in their first year at UBC in the Natural Resources Conservation Program. Born and raised in Coquitlam, they are a Romanian settler living on the stolen homelands of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. They are passionate about approaching climate justice through an intersectional, decolonial, and anti-capitalist lens that places marginalized voices at the forefront of our conversations and stands in solidarity with Indigenous sovereignty. They value building communities of care within organizing spaces and they are super excited to join the Check Your Head team! Currently, they have been involved in co-leading a solidarity working group at UBCC350 and in their free time you can find them thrifting around Vancouver or eating food by Trout Lake.
