Areeka is completing a degree in International Relations and Religion and Literature, with academic focuses on decolonization and migration. She identifies as a ‘third culture kid,’ and based on her experiences balancing identities as an American-Pakistani Settler, her sense of belonging extends beyond cultures and borders. Through her community-activism and her role at CYH, Areeka is actively involved in co-creating safe spaces for resilience, intersctionality and decoloniality. Areeka’s hobbies include telling and listening to stories, hiding in various cafes on her hunt for the perfect cup of coffee, hiking, and getting lost on road-trips.
