20th Anniversary Celebration: Event Committee Outline

Our 2017 end-of-year celebration 

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of educating, activating, and empowering youth across BC, and we want to throw a party to celebrate and engage our community – from the youth we work with, to alumni who have been connected to Check, and to donors who make it all happen! We’re looking for motivated, energetic people who are willing to lend their time and skills to help us make this event a success.

Event Overview
The event will take place in June of 2019, exact date TBD. The cost of tickets will go towards our fundraising goal, and there will be additional fundraising elements (ie. cash bar, silent auction, etc.). We held a successful fundraising event in 2017 (check it out here) and now need your help taking it to the next level!

Meeting Schedule
Approximately once monthly, November 2018—May 2019 (no meeting in December)

Estimated Time Commitment
5–10 hours per month leading up to event
Volunteer shift day-of event

People Required
6-8 people for Committee
8-10 people for day-of (setup, cleanup, bar, silent auction, a/v, check-in table)

Any connections to potential silent auction item donors, or food/liquor sponsors would also be greatly appreciated!
