Callout for Youth Facilitators!

Apply today! CYH is recruiting youth facilitators for the third year of the Youth and Gender Media Project. Selected youth will participate in a training and mentorship program and lead workshops in schools around the Lower Mainland and BC.

Talking Health Care in Victoria

On January 16th Premier Christy Clark hosted premiers from across the country to discuss health care sustainability and the 2014 Health Accord. As part of “Check Up,” a collaborative project that engages youth on health care issues, Check Your Head and BC Health Coalition organized a youth delegation of more than 15 amazing people from the Mainland and the South Island with the aim of bringing a message to the premiers from young people about the future of our health care system.

Join us at Britannia Community Centre on June 26 for Food for Thought. Participate in games, activities, art, performance, and dialogue on food, culture, and food justice. Catered food will be provided. All youth, ages 12-29, are welcome!

Actualizing Change: Submit Your Action Ideas!

This Spring, Check Your Head is helping you breathe life into your action ideas! We are inviting youth (under 30) to submit action ideas that focus on one of two themes: Gender & Media or Alternative Transportation. Four action ideas will be selected to receive funds of $200 or $100 to see the action come to life!
